NVIDIA has released its latest GeForce Game Ready driver, 446.12 (WHQL). The driver adds support for the Windows 10 May 2020 update, which has begun rolling out to users. Some of the new features and improvements that version 2004 introduces are cloud-based recovery options, faster HDD performance, and the addition of a GPU temperature metric in the Task Manager. There’s also a really big one: DirectX 12.

“DirectX 12 Ultimate codifies many of the hardware features first introduced by NVIDIA RTX GPUs back in 2018, such as ray tracing, variable rate shading, and more, into a new standard for next generation gaming,” NVIDIA explained. “DirectX 12 Ultimate will enable even more developers to take advantage of these awesome technologies.”

NVIDIA’s GeForce Game Ready 446.14 Driver also brings day-one support for Riot Games’s Valorant, as well as support for Minecraft Dungeons, Disintegration, and Crucible, Amazon’s new F2P, team-based shooter.
