Google’s Pixel phones have always come in standard and “XL” sizing, but the lineup may be a bit different this year. 9to5Google dug into some beta code from the latest Search app and uncovered listings for a Pixel 4a (Sunfish), Pixel 4a (5G) (Bramble), and Pixel 5 (Redfin) – the entire 2020 lineup, apparently – but a Pixel 5 XL is suspiciously missing. There’s a possibility that the larger, flagship model was simply omitted, but that seems unlikely based on the age of the code and where we are in the calendar year.

Pixel fans who want a larger phone will still have an option, however. According to a separate report from 9to5Google, which references leaked renders, the Pixel 4a 5G comes with a bigger display than the standard 4a, which essentially makes it an XL-tiered handset. Based on its 5G capabilities, “Bramble” is also expected to flaunt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC.

As for the Pixel 5, that’s still a mystery. What we do know is that it’ll be physically smaller than the 4a 5G and lack a headphone jack, which the other Pixels reportedly have.
