Microsoft has revealed that it will no longer produce Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition consoles. We don’t know if this decision has anything to do with lower-than-expected sales numbers, but it doesn’t seem all that unexpected, being that the Series X is just around the corner and manufacturing efforts need to be shifted.

“As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition,” a Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge. “Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”

“Gamers can check with their local retailers for more details on Xbox One hardware availability,” Microsoft added. Needless to say, if you want to pick up a squeaky-clean Xbox One X or Xbox One S Digital Edition, be sure to grab one ASAP, unless you want to deal with higher “collectors” prices and other shenanigans on eBay and similar sites.
