AMD launched its entry-level A520 chipset today, but despite being the newest poster child for budget Ryzen hardware, they’ll supposedly include support for red team’s next-generation processor lineup. According to slides from ASUS (via HKEPC), A520 will be compatible with not only Ryzen 4000G (Renoir) CPUs, but the Zen 3-based 5000G (Cezanne) and 4000/5000 series (Vermeer) as well. Talk about a great value!

ASUS’s slides also included a bit of bad news, however. Apparently, the company’s B450 and X470 motherboards will not support Renoir, Cezanne, or Vermeer processors. That’s a little weird, since AMD had released a chart pledging 3rd Gen Ryzen support for these chipsets. Maybe ASUS is still making up its mind as to how many customers it wants to upset.
