In an attempt to lure more subscribers, Netflix has begun offering select shows and movies for free on its website. The selection is relatively slim, but visitors can watch full episodes of some its biggest shows, such as Stranger Things, as well as Bird Box and other hit movies. It’s unclear when (or if) Netflix will expand this collection of free material.
“You can watch some of the great TV shows and movies from Netflix for free at netflix.com/watch-free,” the company wrote. “Choose from a variety of TV shows and movies that are available to watch now for free. You don’t have to sign-up or register, you can just press play and watch.”
