IKEA has announced that it is collaborating with ASUS ROG on an affordable range of gaming furniture and accessories. With the project being in its early stages, neither company has anything to show yet, but the lineup will presumably include all of the usual suspects, such as gaming desks, gaming chairs, and maybe even gaming beds. We’re also guessing that the majority of these products will come in black and include some sort of Republic of Gamers branding.
IKEA and ASUS ROG are planning to launch around 30 products in total. These will debut in China first (February 2021), but other IKEA markets should be receiving them by October 2021.

Around one-fourth of global population (2.5 billion) are gamers, yet the needs of gaming lovers in terms of home furnishing have been so far overlooked. The new gaming range is developed in IKEA Product Development Centre in China, Shanghai. As a starting point for the product development process, IKEA and ROG designers and engineers had several workshops together with professional gamers and gaming lovers in Shanghai to explore home furnishing needs of gamers and identify the list of functions needed to secure a high quality gaming experience at home.
