G.SKILL has been around for a very long time in the PC market. Its memory kits are commonly used in achieving speed records. It was the first to break 6 GHz with DDR4, thus setting a world record. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, there were no less than twenty-three records set at their overclocking competition last year. It was also only five months ago that it showed off what could be done with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor.

As impressive as speed is, there is another important detail when it comes to memory, and that is latency timings. It is common that as kits reach higher frequencies, higher latency timings also accompany them. Over time, manufacturers are able to dial things in further and reduce those latency timings. G.SKILL has just announced a new “extreme” low latency specification for its DDR4-3600 CL14 64GB kits that achieve just that. These kits are for both AMD and Intel processors.

Original Press Release

G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals is delighted to announce extreme low-latency with high-capacity DDR4 memory kits at DDR4-3600 CL14-15-15-35 in 64GB (16GBx4) and 32GB (16GBx2) configurations under the Trident Z Neo, Trident Z Royal, Trident Z RGB, and Ripjaws V series. Once again, these extraordinary memory kits are manufactured using high-performance Samsung B-die ICs to achieve the low latency of CL14 at DDR4-3600.

Ultimate High-Capacity Performance at DDR4-3600 CL14 64GB (16GBx4)
At G.SKILL, we are always searching for the ultimate memory kit, tuned not only for speed but also for efficiency. And to achieve high efficiency, this means lower latency timings. As the market demand for higher capacity increases, G.SKILL has risen to the challenge and is introducing the DDR4-3600 CL14-15-15-35 64GB (16GBx4) memory kit specification, shown validated on the Intel-based ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI) Z490 and MSI MEG Z490 GODLIKE motherboards, as well as the AMD-based ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard.

Availability & XMP 2.0 Support

These “extreme” low latency performance memory specifications will support Intel XMP 2.0 for easy overclocking and will be available via G.SKILL worldwide distribution partners in Q4 2020.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
