Intel has decided to snap away its entire lineup of Marvel’s Avengers Collector’s Edition 10th Gen Core Processors. The discontinuation has been confirmed via a product change notification spotted by momomo_us, which lists a range of processors that include the Intel Core i5-10600K and Intel Core i9-10900K.

The Marvel’s Avengers Collector’s Edition 10th Gen Core Processors were designed to celebrate Crystal Dynamics’ new Avengers game with a specially themed box featuring illustrations by street mural artist Tristan Eaton. Unfortunately, the game has been a huge flop, costing publisher Square Enix around $62 million in losses.

“Intel teamed up with Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix as the CPU partner for Marvel’s Avengers to deliver a PC gaming experience worthy of Earth’s Mightiest Avengers,” a blurb on the official product page reads.

“You’ll experience optimized gameplay with Intel Core i5, i7, and i9 processors. Higher-end PCs with the latest Intel Core i9 processors will enable richer, more immersive in-game features like Enhanced Enemy Destruction, Super Charged Heroics, and Reactive Water Simulation.”

Strangely, Marvel’s Avengers Collector’s Edition 10th Gen Core Processors do not come packaged with the game. Digital codes for free copies were only available via select retailers, or a separate promotion that involves the purchase of a “qualifying 9th or 10th Gen Intel Core i5, i7, or i9 processor-based device from a participating retailer.”
