Bloober Team has released an updated PC system requirements chart for its upcoming psychological horror game, The Medium. Those of you wish to play the game at its maximum fidelity with the highest levels of ray tracing enabled at 4K will require an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card. An Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700 X processor is recommended on the CPU side, while 16 GB of memory and an SSD (with 50 GB of free space) are also listed for the definitive experience.

Note that Bloober Team’s The Medium, which happens to feature a soundtrack by legendary Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, will be available to play on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers when it releases on January 28. The horror game has been hyped for its dual-reality gameplay mechanic, in which players are challenged to explore not one but two worlds.

“Behind the thin veil that separates us from the spirit world, a Medium can find lost souls on their way to the afterlife,” Bloober Team wrote in a description for its new “What Does a Medium Do?” video, which showcases some of the horror title’s gameplay. “For Marianne, helping them cross over has almost become her life’s purpose. Take a look at our next Premonition video, in which we show you some of the unique skills of a Medium.”

“Discover a dark mystery only a medium can solve. Explore the real world and the spirit world at the same time. Use your psychic abilities to solve puzzles spanning both worlds, uncover deeply disturbing secrets, and survive encounters with The Maw – a monster born from an unspeakable tragedy.”
