Crypto mining has seen its share of ups and downs in recent months, with some individuals flaunting their collection of graphics cards for mining ventures. It seems that MSI has been paying attention to this and is preparing GeForce RTX 3060 Ti cards that may be aimed at crypto mining. They were spotted on the Eurasian Economic Commission (via Wccftech) website.

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (4,864 CUDA Cores, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory) is already a popular card among miners with its efficient hash rate and lower power usage. NiceHash has listed it in its most profitable mining rig parts list. MSI has not announced prices or specifications for these mining variants yet.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
