PC component and gaming PC manufacturer NZXT is probably entering the monitor business. This is according to one of the company’s recent job postings, which calls for a Monitor Engineer Lead who has a deep understanding of various technologies that include LCD and OLED displays. The prospective applicant must also have a great understanding of mechanical/electrical design, manufacturing, and quality control.

“The Display/Monitor Engineering Lead, Principal Engineer will be responsible for the development and qualification of Flat Panel Displays for desktop monitors and portable products,” the job listing reads. “This individual will be working on flat panel displays, both at the component and system level.”

“This role will work with the system design team, the EE team, mechanical team, the supply base management team and the display suppliers and will be managing all activities necessary to deliver the display system from initial concept into final products / mass production.”

NZXT’s catalog already comprises everything from casing and cooling products to motherboards and power supplies, so a potential entry into the gaming monitor sector seems like a natural step for the manufacturer to take. The company’s reputation took a serious hit after it was discovered that one of its PC cases had a design fault that could result in a fire, however.
