Premium cooling component manufacturer Noctua has revealed that the release of the next-generation version of its flagship retail dual tower cooler, the NH-D15, has been pushed back to an unspecified date next year. The delay can be confirmed via the company’s updated product roadmap, which now lists the “next-generation NH-D15” under the 2022 column. Noctua hasn’t shared much about what kind of improvements users can expect in the updated version of the NH-D15, but it will presumably leverage the company’s latest 140 mm fan technology for even more impressive cooling performance.

Noctua’s NH-D15 already stands as one of the world’s best tower heatsinks, making its successor a product of great interest to many consumers. Given the pre-release nature of Noctua’s roadmap, there is a chance that Noctua’s next-generation heatsink may be delayed again. However, this is unlikely given the heatsink’s broad 2020 release timeframe.
