Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray This Summer

Sony Pictures has announced that it will be releasing Square Enix and Tetsuya Nomura’s 2005 Final Fantasy VII CG feature, FFVII: Advent Children, on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray this summer. The latest remaster, which has a street date of June 8th, features brand-new English and Japanese Dolby Atmos audio tracks, as well as standard 5.1 audio tracks for both languages. Bonus materials include a Legacy of Final Fantasy VII Featurette, Episode: Denzel animated film, and more.

Continuing the storyline based on the hit PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace. A mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir. And Cloud, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again…
