IGN has revealed the map for Resident Evil Village, as well as some artwork centered on key characters such as Lady Dimitrescu, her daughters, and the mysterious Mother Miranda. The map shows four locations, which include a factory, a reservoir, windmills, and Castle Dimitrescu. PS5 owners can explore parts of the game early in the Maiden demo. Resident Evil Village launches on May 7 for consoles and PC.

The game’s core concept of a village setting was decided in the early stages of development. After that, we started thinking about the characters. In order to create an appealing village with a sense of place, the characters that live there are extremely important. For the main enemy characters, we thought about the area each one would be in and the kind of experience they could provide.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
