It appears that Samsung Display is developing a new type of OLED panel technology. This is according to a new filing spotted by LetsGoDigital, which alludes to a new product line that will be marketed under the name “Diamond OLED.” It isn’t clear whether these new panels will be used for smartphones, monitors, or TVs, the latter of which have been heavily rumored.
Due to the extensive description, it remains unclear for which product this renewed OLED screen is intended. Samsung’s current range does not include OLED TVs or monitors. Nevertheless, rumors have been circulating for some time that Samsung wants to change this this year. The company is reportedly developing a QD OLED TV and monitor.
