Xbox’s Major Nelson has confirmed that Xbox Insiders will be able to check out Dolby’s HDR format, Dolby Vision, for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles beginning this week. Originally announced in September, Dolby Vision for Xbox provides a huge boost to gaming visuals by offering up to 40x brighter highlights, 10x deeper blacks, and up to 12-bit color depth. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles also support Dolby Atmos for fuller, spatial sound.

When you play in Dolby Vision, you unlock the most realistic and lifelike visuals the game has to offer, with brightness, contrast, color, and depth that goes beyond even traditional HDR games. Experience the world the way it was meant to be seen.
