Sega intends to double down on the 30th Anniversary of its blue mascot by releasing a new compilation that features some of its most popular Sonic games. This is according to a new listing spotted at French gaming retailer SoGamely, which alludes to the release of a new Sonic Collection title for the PlayStation 4. Sega has released a handful of Sonic compilations over the years, which include Sonic Classic Collection (2010), Sonic Gems Collection (2005), and Sonic Mega Collection (2002).

Game publisher Sega previously promised to mark Sonic’s 30th anniversary this year with the release of new games and some major announcements. Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka announced at SXSW Gaming 2019 that production on the next major Sonic the Hedgehog game was underway.
