During the unveiling of AMD’s new spatial upscaling technology, FidelityFX Super Resolution, Radeon graphics lead Scott Herkelman was proud to announce that the feature would be supported across a wide range of Radeon devices that include Radeon RX 6000, Radeon RX 5000, Radeon RX 500, Radeon RX Vega, and all Ryzen processors with Radeon graphics. AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution’s broad level of support doesn’t end there, however—community team member AMD_Mickey confirmed on reddit yesterday that the technology would also be coming to two Radeon RX 400 Series models: the Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 480. These products were initially released in 2016 as part of the Polaris GPU family.

I just wanted to pass on the news that we are updating the list of compatible AMD graphics for FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) to include Radeon RX 470 and RX 480. We expect the website to be updated with this information sometime soon and we wanted to make sure you were aware. Looking forward to having you all try FSR out on the 22nd.
