Battlefield 2042 Launching October 22, 2021 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One

Electronic Arts and DICE today announced the latest installment of their popular military first-person shooter, Battlefield 2042. Marking the return of “all-out warfare in a new, unmatched, epic-scale experience,” Battlefield 2042 will drop players into the boots of a new type of playable soldier called Specialists who must fight in a near-future world ravaged by various disasters. Supporting up to 128 players, Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Powered by cutting-edge technology that pushes the capabilities of next generation hardware, the game drops players into a near-future, all-out-war experience that includes the franchise’s hallmark, game-changing destruction. Featuring matches filled with up to 128 players on the latest consoles and PCs, this unprecedented scale adds a new dimension to multiplayer battles.
