EA has increased the server capacity for its nearly decade-old Battlefield title, Battlefield 4. This is owed to a surprise influx of new and old players that led to increased queue times in certain regions. Evidently, a lot of Battlefield fans decided to revisit the game after seeing the heavily publicized reveal for Battlefield 2042 last week, which hyped a return to the type of modern warfare popularized by Battlefield 4 and a number of earlier Battlefield titles. Battlefield 4 was released on October 29, 2013.

Since then, many of you have jumped back into Battlefield 4 to already get a taste of the return to all-out-warfare. We’ve been monitoring your experience and noticed queue times in the US West region were far longer than in other regions. Good news, we’ve increased server capacity for this region – you can expect less waiting, and more playing.
