CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released over six years ago, but the game continues to impress visually thanks to the passion and talent of the modding community. The latest showcase comes from YouTuber Digital Dreams, who published a video demonstrating how great the open-world RPG can look running in 8K on NVIDIA’s BFGPU, the GeForce RTX 3090. There are over 50 mods enabled in these sequences, which include Immersive Lighting (a “complete overhaul” of the lighting in the base game) and Apex Realistic Reshade for improved colors and atmosphere. Digital Dreams didn’t share their graphics settings or any performance metrics, but the game is presumably running at maximum quality.

In view of the long history of graphic mods from Witcher 3, it should also be exciting to see what the official next-gen version of the game will look like. In the second half of the year, the developer, CD Projekt Red, wants to have the game brought up to date by Saber Interactive and provide features such as ray tracing or HDR support.
