LG’s 2023 lineup of premium gaming monitors could include select models that boast impressive refresh rates of over 400 Hz. According to the manufacturer’s latest panel development plans gleaned by TFT Central, LG Display will begin developing 480 Hz panels this year, the production of which will commence in Q4 2022. These panels will only measure 24.5 inches and be limited to Full HD (1080p) resolution, however. Other specifications include sRGB color gamut and HDR 400 support.

LG.Display also talk about how they have been optimizing their overdrive control to hopefully reduce inverse ghosting and overshoot artifacts and deliver a true 1ms G2G response time and deliver a reverse-ghosting-free experience. As a side note there are also early plans to push the refresh rate of Quad HD 2560 x 1440 resolution panel options above 240Hz at some point, probably not until 2022 and no details are listed yet.
