Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy is joining the roster of miHoYo’s popular and free to play action role-playing game, Genshin Impact. The developer confirmed the addition of the Nora tribe’s most recognizable member in a blog post published today, noting that Aloy would be an exclusive five-star character that will be available via Genshin Impact’s in-game mail system. Aloy will be available to acquire during two of the game’s upcoming updates and maintenance phases, the first of which will occur on October 13, 2021. Genshin Impact players on PS4 and PS5 consoles who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above should be able to claim Aloy on that date by logging into the game and accessing their mail.

An outcast since birth, Aloy grew up in a harsh mountain wilderness near the tribe that shunned her. Fostered by an expert hunter, she trained to hunt with cat-like grace and deadly accuracy – but the things she most wanted to learn, he could not teach her. Most of all, she burned to know the circumstances of her birth – who her parents were, and why she was shunned by the tribe.
