Microsoft has great news for racing fans who are subscribed to the Ultimate tier of its popular game subscription service. As revealed in a new article published on Xbox Wire today, a great collection of racing games developed by British game developer Codemasters has joined Xbox Game Pass Ultimate courtesy of its EA Play benefit.

The collection includes Formula One simulators F1 2020 and F1 2019. Released last summer, F1 2020 is notable for being the first in the franchise to allow players to create their own F1 teams that can be raced alongside official teams and drivers.

Codemasters’ collection also includes four titles from its acclaimed off-road racing franchise, Dirt. Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0 are available for rally fans who lean toward simulators, while Dirt 4 and Dirt 5 can be enjoyed by those who prefer a more casual and arcade-like driving experience. Dirt 5 in particular features a novel Playgrounds mode that lets racers design their own racing arena.

The final addition is 2019’s Grid, the fourth installment of Codemasters’ autosport franchise. Grid sets itself apart with its roster of iconic race cars and a career mode that tests players in various event categories, pitting them in wheel-to-wheel battles against other formidable racers.

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan costs $14 a month and includes over 100 high-quality console and PC games just like the PC and Console tiers but adds EA Play, a library of select EA titles, as well as the ability to play select games from the cloud on mobile and other devices. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also includes Xbox Live Gold, which includes perks such as free games to play every month via the Games With Gold program.

As indicated above, all of these titles are also available beginning today via EA Play for users who are only subscribed to EA’s subscription service. The additions follow Codemasters’ $1.2 billion acquisition by EA earlier this year.

EA and Codemasters are thrilled to expand the already-heaving roster of titles on EA Play, with racing titles from three revered racing franchises. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate players receive EA Play at no additional cost, meaning you can get behind the wheel of these titles today as part of your Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
