When EA and DICE released the details behind the technical playtest of their upcoming multiplayer-only Battlefield game, Battlefield 2042, they strictly noted that testers were not allowed to share footage in any way, shape, or form.

It seems that Battlefield fans aren’t the best listeners.

At least one Battlefield 2042 fan who managed to get into the technical playtest has shared a clip demonstrating some of his experiences in the game. While short, the clip provides a general idea of what players might expect in one of the game’s various multiplayer modes that include Conquest and Breakthrough.

One of the most noticeable things about the video is how relatively terrible the graphics look; it looks like a last-gen game. This is a technical playtest, however, so what’s seen in the clip is probably not entirely representative of what Battlefield 2042 players will see when they boot the game up this fall.

Battlefield 2042 will launch worldwide on October 22 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
