AMD still hasn’t released a weaker version of the Radeon RX 6700 XT yet, but it appears that a non-XT version of the Radeon RX 6600 might be just around the corner.

VideoCardz has shared the first official images of a Radeon RX 6600 graphics card. It is a GIGABYTE EAGLE model that features 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, one that looks practically identical its more powerful XT counterpart.

The card is expected to leverage the Navi 23 XL GPU and feature 1,792 Stream Processors. This the same amount of Stream Processors featured in the Radeon PRO W6600, an RDNA 2 graphics card that AMD announced in June for professional users.

According to GIGABYTE’s packaging, the Radeon RX 6600 EAGLE should be a good choice for 1080p gaming. Recent tests by Igor Wallossek have suggested that the card will perform similarly to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 but feature significantly lower power consumption.

AMD is expected to announce the Radeon RX 6600 by the end of September or early October.

The card features an identical design to RX 6600 XT EAGLE, but there are changes to the PCB layout and the heatsink. The board is slightly shorter but still features a single 8-pin power connector.
