PC gamers were sent into a frenzy yesterday following a GeForce NOW database leak that suggested many PlayStation-exclusive titles would be coming to PC. They included Santa Monica Studio’s critically acclaimed action-adventure game, God of War, as well as Sucker Punch’s equally acclaimed samurai title, Ghost of Tsushima, among countless other exciting but unofficially announced games.

NVIDIA has now offered a statement telling PC gamers to dial their expectations down accordingly, as the majority of titles in the leaked list are purportedly “speculative.” Green team suggests that while exciting, many of the games listed in the GeForce NOW database leak are unconfirmed and were merely included for the purposes of “internal tracking and testing.”

NVIDIA is aware of an unauthorized published game list, with both released and/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing. Inclusion on the list is neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game.

NVIDIA took immediate action to remove access to the list. No confidential game builds or personal information were exposed.

That said, PC gamers shouldn’t be surprised if many of these PlayStation exclusives eventually get the PC treatment, as Sony has been rather public about its plans to bring more of its first-party games to the PC.

As if the releases of Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone didn’t make it obvious enough, Naughty Dog recently announced that it would be bringing two of its biggest titles, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, to PC in 2022. Sony also recently purchased Nixxes, a company that made its name by porting PC titles.
