Ember Lab has shared a release trailer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The game officially launched for PC and PS4/PS5 today. It is available on the Epic Games Store and PlayStation Store for $39.99; the install size is around 25 GB. The digital deluxe edition features the soundtrack, a staff, and extra skin for $49.99. Kena’s load times are incredibly fast on the PS5. The game includes a photo mode with a “Cheese!” button that causes the characters to strike a pose.

Combining a strong story with action combat and puzzle solving, players will embark on a journey in a lavish world rendered by Unreal Engine 4. Along the way, they will adopt and develop spirit creatures called ROT, which maintain the dead and rotting elements of the forest. Players will gain abilities, make new discoveries, and change the environment around them.

A story-driven action adventure with a stunning visual aesthetic combining exploration with fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment. Kena: Bridge of Spirits seamlessly blends action and narrative into an unforgettable experience. Travel with Kena, a young Spirit Guide on a quest to uncover the mysterious story surrounding the demise of the village.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
