Capcom has announced that its latest Monster Hunter title, Monster Hunter Rise, will launch on Steam on January 12, 2022 for $59.99. The game has been available for the Nintendo Switch since March.

Rise to the challenge and join the hunt! In Monster Hunter Rise, the latest installment in the award-winning and top-selling Monster Hunter series, you’ll become a hunter, explore brand new maps and use a variety of weapons to take down fearsome monsters as part of an all-new storyline. The PC release also comes packed with a number of additional visual and performance enhancing optimizations.
According to an article on Capcom Unity and footage from the new trailer, some of the features that Monster Hunter Rise players on PC can expect include uncapped frame rates, 4K resolution ,and high-res textures. Capcom has also promised that the PC port will feature support for mouse and keyboard, as well as ultrawide (21:9) monitors.
Steam users will be able to download a demo for Monster Hunter Rise beginning on October 13. The demo will offer two Training Quests, three Hunting Quests, and the ability to test out the game’s new Wirebug mechanic, which allows players to swing around as they traverse the world.
