The Epic Games Store’s latest freebie is The Irregular Corporation’s indie simulation title, PC Building Simulator. It’s unclear why anyone would spend their time pretending to build a PC rather than buy some parts and actually assemble something for real, but the game will be available to grab until October 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. ET.

An official description for the game:

Build your very own PC empire, from simple diagnosis and repairs to bespoke, boutique creations that would be the envy of any enthusiast. With an ever-expanding marketplace full of real-world components you can finally stop dreaming of that ultimate PC and get out there, build it and see how it benchmarks in 3DMark!

PC Building Simulator allows players to not only learn and build their dream PC but also set up a PC building and repair business courtesy of its career mode. The game was developed in partnership with a long list of notable companies that include AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA.

  1. My son has this (from a while back) and now thinks he’s a PC building expert. Until he got thermal paste all in the pins of his CPU.

Good for you for letting him learn and make mistakes! It’s important.
