Playground Games has confirmed the storage requirements for its upcoming open-world racer, Forza Horzion 5. The game will require 116 GB of storage on Xbox One and 103 GB of storage on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, and Steam. Playground explained that it was able to reduce the install footprint of Forza Horizon 5 on modern systems thanks to high-speed internal SSD storage.

Per Playground:

With the high-speed internal SSD storage found on Xbox Series X|S consoles, we’ve reduced the install footprint of Forza Horizon 5 on those systems by optimizing our assets for higher bandwidth streaming. That means a shorter download combined with super-fast loading times so you can seamlessly jump into the action as soon as you say “Let’s ¡Go!”

Forza Horizon 5 storage capacity requirements:

  • Xbox Series X|S: 103 GB
  • Xbox One: 116 GB
  • Windows: 103 GB
  • Steam: 103 GB

Forza Horizon 5 is available to preload beginning today for Xbox Game Pass members and those who have preordered the Standard, Deluxe, or Premium editions of the game. Users who have pre-purchased the disc version can also preload Forza Horizon 5 through the Xbox app on smartphones.

Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9, 2021.
