Microsoft and Brass Lion Entertainment have reportedly joined forces to develop a new fantasy action RPG based on one of the most popular and successful hip-hop groups of all time, the Wu-Tang Clan. The rumor comes from journalist Jez Corden, who says that he first heard about the game in July and that it carries the appropriate code name of “Shaolin.” Adding some credibility to the report is Brass Lion Entertainment’s website, which confirms that it is developing an “action-RPG video game.” The title will supposedly feature melee combat, four-player co-op, and a soundtrack from the eponymous music group.

From Brass Lion Entertainment:

Brass Lion Entertainment is an entertainment studio focused on creating original fictional universes that center on Black, Brown, and other traditionally marginalized characters, cultures, and stories. Brass Lion is a diverse and inclusive environment where creatives of all backgrounds can thrive and bring unique and compelling stories to market – changing the landscape in interactive spaces and beyond.

The Wu-Tang Clan’s most recent studio album is The Saga Continues, which released in 2017 to both mixed and positive reviews. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (1993) and Wu-Tang Forever (1997) are still regarded by many fans as their best albums.
