A source with VideoCardz has shared additional key specifications for AMD’s next RDNA 2 graphics cards, the Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400. The Radeon RX 6500 XT is said to feature 1,024 cores (stream processors) and 16 Ray Accelerators, while the Radeon RX 6400 will feature 768 cores and 12 Ray Accelerators. Both models will also feature 16 MB of Infinity Cache and 4 GB of GDDR6 memory.

From VideoCardz:

[The Radeon RX 6500 XT] will require a dedicated power connector to be attached and according to our source, it has a recommendation for a 400W power supply. The source has not been able to confirm the base and boost frequencies of the GPU but claims that the memory speed is 14 Gbps, so just as fast as RX 6600 non-XT. It will ship with 4GB GDDR6 memory across a 64-bit bus, which gives a maximum memory bandwidth of 112 GB/s.

[…] The most important difference [of the Radeon RX 6400 is that it] will not require a separate power connector as the power delivered through the PCIe slot will be sufficient. The RX 6400, therefore, has a TBP lower than 75W.

The source claims that both the Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 will be released in Q1 2022, with the former shipping first. Information contained in the latest Radeon driver has also confirmed that the Radeon RX 6500 and another entry-level model, the Radeon RX 6300, will leverage the Navi 24 GPU.
