Cyberpunk 2077’s next major update is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2022. The date was shared in an article pertaining to CD PROJEKT’s third quarter 2021 financial results, which includes a quote from Adam KiciÅ„ski (President and Joint CEO of the CD PROJEKT Group) about how the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077 would also debut during that timeframe. Cyberpunk 2077’s most recent update was Patch 1.31, which released on September 14, 2021.

From Kiciński:

We are hard at work on the next-gen version of Cyberpunk, scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2022, alongside another major update for all platforms. There is also ongoing work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 and the Cyberpunk expansion. In parallel, we carry on with the transformation of our studio, which is affecting more and more production teams.

The article also points out that CD PROJEKT managed to increase its revenue by nearly 40 percent over the previous year’s third quarter, earning 144 million PLN for Q3 2021.

From Piotr Nielubowicz, Vice President and CFO:

This year-on-year reduction in net profit is mainly due to expenses related to updating Cyberpunk and exploratory work on new projects which are at an early stage of development, where the associated costs are reported directly in our P&L statement for the current period. At the same time, the balance of our financial reserves – cash, bank deposits and t-bonds – increased by 55 million PLN in the third quarter.
