AMD has announced that CEO Dr. Lisa Su will present the CES 2022 keynote via live stream. Although this year’s CES will be an in-person event, AMD will attend, at least in part, virtually. The keynote will be presented on January 4 and is titled AMD 2022 Product Premiere. AMD promises it “will demonstrate how we will make 2022 an unforgettable year for gamers, creators, and mobile PC users.” With a new generation of Radeon and Ryzen products around the corner, it’s highly possible we’ll get some official reveals for both.

ALICE Award

AMD is also celebrating that it has won an ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) award for its contributions in designing and the production of the ALICE online and offline EPN. The ALICE awards are “given by the ALICE Collaboration, to industrial partners, in recognition of successful collaboration, excellence in design, with highly demanding or unusual requirements.”

Club AMD

Club AMD will be the in-person portion of AMD’s presence at CES 2022. It will have a focus on GPU and CPU technologies in desktop, laptop, and mobile applications for gamers and professionals alike. Those wishing to attend can locate Club AMD via the map here.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
