CD PROJEKT RED hasn’t provided an exact release date for its next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles yet, but they could be just around the corner.

This is according to new assets that PlayStation Game Size has discovered on the PSN backend, which includes what is believed to be the official cover art for the PS5 version of the game. The artwork replaces the male version of V with his female counterpart, who, instead of holding a gun, has her back turned, offering a closer look at the back of the popular Samurai bomber jacket that can be seen in many of the game’s promotional materials.

PlayStation Game Size has theorized that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in the middle of February or in early March. Taking advantage of the latest console hardware for improved visuals, the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 will presumably ship with the game’s next big update, which is expected to address a good portion of the game’s remaining bugs and performance issues.

“We have an important update regarding next-generation updates of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for consoles and PC,” CD PROJEKT RED tweeted in October. “Based on recommendations supplied by teams supervising the development of both games, we decided to postpone their releases until 2022.”

“Our current target for Cyberpunk 2077 is the first quarter of 2022, and second quarter of 2022 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”
