Gaming Performance Continued
Now we come to the interesting testing we are sure you all can’t wait for, we were also anxious to get to this part and see how it all ends up for gaming performance. In order to test this properly, really get a good feel for it, and cover all the bases for the big picture, we decided to test 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions when possible. For testing, we are using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition video card.
Far Cry 6
Far Cry 6 is another game that is very sensitive to CPU performance at 1080p and even at 1440p. The Ryzen 5 5600X is 17% faster than the Ryzen 5 3600X at 1080p and 15% faster at 1440p. That’s a pretty large difference. The Ryzen 5 5600G is actually closer to 3600X performance in this game, with a wider margin compared to the 5600X. The 5600G is only 3% faster than the 3600X and within 12% performance of the 5600X.
Watch Dogs Legion
Watch Dogs Legion also shows differences between the CPUs at 1080p and 1440p. The Ryzen 5 5600X is 18% faster than the 3600X, which is huge, and the 5600G is only a few percent faster than the 3600X at 1080p. At 1440p the 5600G and 3600X are similar, while the 5600X is 8% faster. 5600G seems to be closer to 3600X performance in this game.
Crysis Remastered
There is also a very large difference in Crysis Remastered. The Ryzen 5 5600X is a massive 27% faster than the Ryzen 5 3600X, so that’s a big upgrade at 1080p. However, the Ryzen 5 5600G is also an upgrade it’s 9% faster than the 3600X. Even at 1440p, the 5600G is 10% faster than the 3600X. The 5600G is within 14% of the performance of the 5600X at 1080p and within 8% at 1440p.
