The Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer appears to tease a Star Wars crossover (VGC)

During the portion of the Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer that cuts to a forest environment, what looks like the foot of an AT-ST walker can be seen in the background.

This has led many to speculate that the environment in the game could be Endor from Return of the Jedi, which would introduce Star Wars to the Disney crossover franchise for the first time.

As shown in the image […], though blurry, the features of the AT-ST feet are clear. The sloping sides of the dome-like structure and the large blocky “heel” of the walker are visible.

If this is truly a hint at the inclusion of Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts, it would be a huge step for the series, that has previously focused on traditional Disney characters.

  1. Huh... that's interesting. Part of the reason the game was fun and interesting to play was the fidelity was the same between the various characters.

This is like looking at a lego adventure game and complaining that everything is so blocky.

The game needs to rely on a consistent level of art across all assets be they from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, or the Final Fantasy IP's. So if you bump up the fidelity on everything does that mean we will see waving feathers on Donald Ducks area, Hair on goofy and saliva dripping from his mouth in the heat of battle? You get the idea. Maybe this game doesn't NEED to be next generation art wise.

    Just a thought.
