Yesterday’s images have gotten some thinking that water blocks are already being prepped for the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti. Power connector location, PCB shape, screw-hole placement, and other similarities suggest that its layout is similar enough with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti that they will be compatible with little or no modification. Another theory is that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition is a prototype for the GeForce RTX 40 Series. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 is rumored to feature 24 GB of 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory and a 450-Watt TDP.

While we have already noted that Nvidia’s alleged RTX 4090 Ti PCB is similar to their existing RTX 3090 Ti heatsink, albeit upgraded, our sources hinted that Nvidia’s new heatsink design is more similar to Nvidia’s RTX 3090 Ti design than we realised. There was also a suggestion that GPU water blocks were already in the works for Nvidia’s RTX 40 series products.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
