Nacon has shared the first gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City, offering an honest look at the latest game based on the popular cyborg law enforcer who was originally introduced in Paul Verhoeven’s iconic 1987 film.

Developed by Teyon, RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter that will be released for Steam and PS5 in June 2023 and feature the likeness and voice of Peter Weller, who played Alex Murphy in the first two RoboCop films. It remains his most significant role to date despite his lengthy filmography, which includes the Criterion Collection’s Naked Lunch and Star Trek Into Darkness.

RoboCop: Rogue City’s gameplay reveal can confirm the appearance of at least one other familiar face in the form of ED-209, OCP’s bipedal, heavily armed robot that has trouble with stairs. RoboCop’s green targeting system and Auto 9 are also present in various points of the reveal.

Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.
