Paramount revealed new trailers for Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks along with other announcements at SDCC 2022. The final season teaser trailer for Patrick Stewart’s series will see the return of fellow TNG castmates Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, and Marina Sirtis. The previous two seasons have already seen some TNG alumni cameos along with story arcs featuring recurring characters played by Brent Spiner and John de Lancie as Picard and his team work to prevent a universal catastrophe from happening. It’s probable that even more The Next Generation cast could make an appearance during season 3.

Star Trek: Lower Decks is set to return on Paramount+ on August 25 for its third season as well. The comedic animated series has had its share of cameos from TNG and the new trailer even teases a visit to Deep Space Nine as Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O’Connel) instructs the Cerritos crew to “Just keep circling” the pylons of the famed space station in order to buy time while that series iconic theme music plays .
