EA and Respawn may have more to share regarding their next Star Wars game pretty soon.

As spotted by Steam users, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s store page is now live, allowing prospective players to wishlist and keep closer tabs on the highly anticipated sequel.

While there’s no time frame listed for the game yet aside from “coming soon,” PlayStation Game Size has dug up some information that would suggest a potential release in March 2023, or possibly earlier in late February. EA and Respawn have already confirmed that the game will be released next year, although specifics are yet to come.

The listing can also confirm that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will require an EA account and the company’s Origin launcher running in the background. Star Wars: Squadrons, Motive’s starfighter title from 2020, doesn’t require Origin on Steam.

Originally announced in May during Star Wars Celebration, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will see the return of Cal Kestis, who is now a Jedi Knight following the events of the original 2019 game.

Respawn has promised that the sequel will “expand upon the iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, characters, and thrilling combat first experienced in the series’ debut title.” The game is also being developed for the current generation of gaming hardware to “create a deeper and more expansive Star Wars experience.”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s story remains a mystery, but the game takes place years after Fallen Order, as Respawn teased in a press release.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force.

A new Cal Kestis figure that Hasbro revealed at SDCC 2022 has fueled speculation that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s combat won’t be limited to lightsabers. The figure is equipped with a blaster, opening up the theory that players will also be able to take down Stormtroopers and other enemies with guns in the game.

These will presumably be upgradeable based on the customization that was possible with lightsabers in the original.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been a huge hit for EA since its release in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and other platforms. Respawn announced in June last year that the game had surpassed 20 million players.
