Dr. Lisa Su confirmed during an earnings call yesterday that AMD was on track to launch its Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processors and AM5 platforms “later this quarter with leadership performance in gaming and content creation,” but while she declined to give any exact dates, Wccftech appears to have the specifics.

According to the publication’s sources, AMD is planning to announce the specifications and pricing for its initial lineup of Ryzen 7000 Series processors during an event scheduled for August 29. This collection is expected to comprise four models, including the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X CPUs.

Sales of Ryzen 7000 Series processors, including X670 motherboards, will then proceed on September 15, it’s claimed, with review embargoes lifting two days earlier on September 13.

Here’s the alleged schedule:

  • Product announcement: August 29, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. ET / August 30, 2022 at 2:00 a.m. CET / 8:00 a.m. TW
  • Press embargo: September 13, 2022 at 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CET / 9 p.m. TW
  • Sales embargo: September 15, 2022 at 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CET / 9 p.m. TW

AMD users who’d like to learn more about the company’s Ryzen 7000 Series processors and new AM5 chipset ahead of those dates can register for its next Meet the Experts webinar, which is scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow. The event lasts for an hour and will include an exclusive look at new AM5 motherboards.

In this webinar, join experts Mike Yang, Michiel Berkhout, Anny Hsu, Juan J. Guerrero, and Sofos Oikonomou. Learn about upcoming motherboards from partners such as ASRock, ASUS, BIOSTAR, GIGABYTE, and MSI on how their AM5 motherboards introduce cutting-edge features to the market and unlock the full power of AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Series processors will reportedly deliver over 15% better single-threaded performance and over 35% better multi-threaded performance than its predecessors thanks to their new Zen 4 core architecture.

AMD B650E and B650 motherboards are expected to release by October or November following the premium X670E and X670 options.
