ASUS Unveils TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT Graphics Cards

ASUS has announced its first custom Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics cards, the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX. Neither have been listed on ASUS’ official website yet, but an article on the manufacturer’s Edge Up blog can confirm what their shrouds should look like, as well as some of their key specifications, including 6,144 stream processors and three 8-pin power connectors on the XTX model, a 3.63-slot card, similar to the XT version. ASUS is recommending that they be paired with one of its new TUF Gaming PSUs, available in wattages of up to 1,000 watts with 80 PLUS Gold efficiency.

  • 3.63-slot card with 6,144 stream processors
  • 24 GB of GDDR6 and a 384-bit memory interface
  • Durable materials and a reinforced construction
  • Exceptionally strong structure protects PCB from sagging
  • Rigid die-cast frame, with sturdy backplate and shroud, both made of aluminum
  • Graphics card holder included in the box
  • New cooling design with wider event on backplate for more airflow
  • Total heat dissipation area increased by 22.8%
  • Larger axial-tech fans provide 13.8% more airflow and 8% more static pressure
  • Dual BIOS switch for choosing between performance and quiet modes
  • Manual tweaking enabled through GPU Tweak III software
  • HDMI 2.1 port, trio of DisplayPort 2.1 ports
  • Three 8-pin power connectors

TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT

  • 20 GB of GDDR6 RAM, 5,376 stream processors, 320-bit memory interface
  • Many of the same design elements as the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX
  • Die-cast frame to the aluminum shroud and backplate, 3.63-slot design
  • 3D acrylic TUF logo with ARGB lighting on the edge of the shroud
  • Same total board power (TBP) as the last-gen RX 6900 XT
