Blight: Survival is a new third-person game in development from Haenir Studio pitting players against zombies in a medieval setting. A ceaseless war between two factions has fed a new blight as the dead begin to rise and players must fight to survive. The game is literally being created by just two people in Unreal Engine 5, although they have posted on social media they are looking to expand. Meanwhile, their current progress is quite impressive considering the visuals and game mechanics seen in a new gameplay reveal trailer. The developers describe Blight: Survival as an action-horror roguelite and it is a third-person cinematic action-adventure survival game.

Blight: Survival is a 4-player co-op action-horror roguelite set in the unforgiving no man’s land between two desperate states at a ceaseless war. Within this purgatory, a new strain of Blight has sprung from remains of the dead. Strengthened by the blood that has been spilled, it rapidly spreads – turning man into monster.
As the nations bleed, chastened and paralyzed by war they call upon you, and your kin, with offerings of coin. Being the only ones willing – and capable – you’ve been tasked to venture in and raze the all-consuming Blight.
- Fight, with up to three friends, your way through both men and monsters in a violent co-op action experience.
- Pillage and loot the spoils of those less fortunate, but remember – what has been found can once again be lost.
- Choose between a large selection of weapons, and armor and customize them to best suit your playstyle.
- Explore the war-ravaged lands in a huge map filled with secrets and plenty of coin to be found.
Blight: Survival does not have a release date yet but it can be found on Steam here. The developers have given some additional info on their social media pages. Although the game supports up to 4-player co-op it can be played as a single-player. It is currently being developed for PC but they would like to bring it to consoles as well. They further describe it as a cross between Dark Souls and Mordhau.
