
Final Fantasy XVI will be available to play exclusively on PlayStation 5 consoles for at least six months, according to a new “Play Like Never Before” sizzle trailer that PlayStation shared today to showcase some of its upcoming titles on PS5. “Final Fantasy XVI anticipated summer 2023,” a blurb that accompanies footage of the 16th installment of Square Enix’s fantasy RPG series reads before going on to confirm that the game will be “PS5 exclusive for six months.” Square Enix is expected to share an official release date for FFXVI before the end of the year, according to recent interviews with key developers that include game director Hiroshi Takai, who revealed that the game is very close to being complete.

FINAL FANTASY XVI brings players into a world where Eikons are powerful and deadly creatures that reside within Dominants—a single man or woman who is blessed with the ability to call upon their dreaded power. The story follows Clive Rosfield, a young man dedicated to mastering the blade, who is dubbed the First Shield of Rosaria and tasked to guard his younger brother Joshua—the Dominant of the Phoenix. Unexpected events set Clive on a dark and dangerous road to revenge.

Hope it's better then XV, while I did finish that game, I never quite figured out how the combat system actually worked, but if you use enough health potions you could power trough eventually
I haven’t got through 15 yet, but I’ve tried 2 or 3 times. The combat is a mess and I keep getting distracted by fishing.
They did tighten up that general system when they recycled most of it for the FF7 remake — it’s similar at a high level but it flows a lot better and is a lot more tactical than just “mash buttons and pound potions”. Still not my favorite though.
