Power and Temperature
To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data. We use GPU-Z sensor data to record the results. We report on the GPU-Z sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data. For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU) as well as the Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data.
The power draw for the PNY board was 102.1% of TDP overclocked, 132.8 Watts. The comparison Sapphire 6600 drew 101 Watts.
The GPUZ sensor data is shown below. The default is on the left and overclocked on the right. Our PNY GeForce RTX 3050 VERTO Dual-fan video card ran just 2 degrees C warmer overclocked. The maximum temperature in each case was in the low 70C. We used a custom fan profile which worked well with maximum fan cycle at 2061 RPM and near silence. The AMD 6600 does run hotter in our testing with a maximum of 85C.
