PowerColor has announced the Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT, custom RNDA 3 Navi 31 graphics cards that count a brand-new amethyst LED color, metal reinforced backplate, optimum heatpipe arrangement, high-quality PCB design (premium 14-layer PCB and 20 VRMs), a GPU direct-contact copper plate, and an “unprecedented” ring-fan blade design as their key selling points.

Neither of the graphics cards appear to be listed yet, meaning that their complete specifications remain a mystery, but here’s what PowerColor has to say about each key feature of its Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT products:

  • BRAND NEW AMETHYST LED COLOR
    • Hellhound of this generation comes with a brand new amethyst purple LED lighting while retaining the previous ice blue. Gamers are able to choose the color they want by flipping the switch on side of the card. Ice blue shows coolness and elegance while amethyst represents mystery and charm.
  • METAL REINFORCED BACKPLATE
    • The metal backplate strengthens and protects the internal components from PCB bend, and a cut-out design on the back plate allows exhaust heat to properly flow through for heat-dissipation efficiency.
  • CONTROL THE HEAT – OPTIMUM HEATPIPE ARRANGEMENT
    • A set of 8 x 60 nickel-plated copper heatpipes align closely above the PCB to more quickly and effectively transfer heat from the GPU and VRAM to the cooling array.
  • HIGH QUALITY PCB DESIGN – PREMIUM 14-LAYER PCB AND 20 VRMS
    • A premium 14-layer high TG PCB Board -including a 2 oz power layer as well a total of 20 VRMS – are utilized in the Hellhound RX 7900 XTX; it decreases signal loss during transmission: important especially for higher-end GPUs with increased demands for higher currents and stability.
  • GPU DIRECT-CONTACT COPPER PLATE
    • We have increased the copper plate area to 91 x 89 x 2.6 mm, providing direct contact with the GPU while covering VRAM to increase the heat transfer threshold to the max.
      +3°C)
  • UNPRECEDENTED RING-FAN BLADE DESIGN
    • The newest 9-blade design of our fans generate better airflow and air pressure under the same noise level, improving cooling performance to reduce GPU temperatures by more than 3°C compared to previous generations.
