Warner Bros. Games and DC has released a new cinematic trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that can confirm Kevin Conroy has provided the voice for Batman in Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming game, which releases worldwide on May 26, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

This will mark Conroy’s final performance as the Dark Knight, as the voice actor, who’s best known for voicing Batman for three decades in many of the character’s most popular appearances (e.g., Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkham games), passed away at the age of 66 in November after a short battle with cancer.

“Debuted during The Game Awards, the video features the Squad’s initial encounter with The Dark Knight and closes with a tribute to Kevin Conroy, the beloved actor who passed away last month,” Rocksteady wrote in a press release.

“As the iconic voice of the Caped Crusader in the Batman: Arkham videogame series, Batman: The Animated Series and countless other DC projects, Conroy returns to Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse one final time and reprises his role as Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.”

As hinted by the trailer, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lets players take on the roles of some of the superhero/anti-hero team’s most infamous members, including Harley Quinn (a.k.a. Dr. Harleen Quinzel), Deadshot (a.k.a. Floyd Lawton), Captain Boomerang (a.k.a. Digger Harkness) and King Shark (a.k.a. Nanaue), who must join forces to take down the Justice League.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is expected to feature other key Justice League members, including Superman, who has been teased in previous trailers and promotional materials for the game.
