Returnal PC System Requirements Released, 32 GB of RAM Recommended

Housemarque and Climax Studios have shared the system requirements for their upcoming PC port of Returnal, the award-winning third-person shooter that was previously exclusive to PlayStation 5 consoles.

According to a listing of requirements that can be found on Steam, Returnal will require 32 GB of memory for the recommended experience, including an Intel i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (or better) processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (or better) GPU.

  • Processor: Intel i7-8700 (6 core 3.7 GHz) AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 core 3.7 GHz)
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER (8 GB) AMD RX 6700 XT (12 GB)
  • Storage: 60 GB available space

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6400 (4 core 2.7GHz) AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (4 core 3.5GHz)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB)
  • Storage: 60 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Recommended

“For our PC version there will be an array of PC specific tweaks and upgrades to make sure that the experience is as fluid as possible,” brand director Mikael Haveri explained in an announcement for the port published on December 8, 2022.

“More on these details later, but rest assured that you will be faced with a cutting edge Housemarque challenge, and the bells and whistles are there to support the gameplay experience including the relentless challenge of the Tower of Sisyphus and online co-op mode.”

Returnal launched for the PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2021, for $69.99.

Pricing for Returnal’s PC port hasn’t been shared yet.
